The great and the potentially deadly

Things are so super and so bad at the same time. I had a great day yesterday with Daniel. We went to Gurnee Mills Mall. He got to my house about 9:30a and we arrived at the mall around 11:30 and ate lunch at Rainforest Cafe. Very kewl place, awesome tables! We went across the way to another store with a similar animal theme, Dan made a coin with a serpant that said serpant safari :) Very cute. We walked past a kewl furniture place and I sat in a nifty hand chair :) It was in the shape of a hand lol. We shopped more and Dan talked to one of the cellphone vendors and bought a new cellphone cover. Its a zebra print, and that's just one more thing we have in common, we like animal print :) We did more walking and talking and got seperated at one point but found each other again and I got us some Auntie Aunne's pretzels and blue slushy things that made us very hyper. I lot of good conversation and laughter ensued. We shopped more and found an arcade to play in. It had an ice skating rink, which, I discovered was the motive for Daniel picking that place :) Sneaky boy. It was fun wasting money in the arcade, I got a scuba Taz :) Dan got a light up Hackey Sack. He seemed happy. If Katie had been with me she would have made out great cuz I kept finding stuff she would like. So Daniel and I ice skated for 2 hours and I had never been on ice skates before. Only fell once, and I"m not really sure how it happenned, just know my knees still hurt! We got back to my house about 11:30, having spent over 12 hours together. Dan met my parents, and one cat. My cat was in hiding. We talked and ate then my parents went to bed. Nothing happenned between Daniel and I for those of you saying "oh yeah!" We watched some tv and talked, sat close and held hands. I got a hug goodnight. No kiss, I'm ok with that though.
Ok time to study for a philosophy test.

Idol was semi evil last night. I was sad to see Sarah and Jared go. Luckily the good ppl are still in. My hand still hurts and my eyes just want to stay closed, yet my body is full of Dew. Today is Thursday! It's the end of the school week, and the weekend is basically here! You know what that means? It means Friday I work 6.5 hours :( THEN IT MEANS IT'S SATURDAY AND I GET TO SEE DANIEL :) Big day planned! Going to big mall in the land of Gurnee :) I'm gonna look all cute. I hear the weather will be close to the 50s so I might get away with a non-winter coat! I won't be shedding feathers everywhere! Bwahahahahahaha.
Organized my closet last night...organized isn't the word...I threw out basically my entire closet last night :) Put the clothes I kept in order of color :) I don't have any girl colored clothes. Gonna have to do something about that.

Whaaaaahhhh!!!!!

Grrrrrrr. Why does today have to happen? It's completely stupid. Today was a day where I didn't have to go to class. I only went for 7 pts Ex Cred. It just wasn't worth it. I woke up with a getting worse by the minute headache and my hand is all painful. It's my good hand too. Cold makes it feel better for some reason. I thought hot was supposed to help. Movement is difficult so this hurts to write. I'm cranky and I can't drink dew in the lab. God why can't my family die? I showered last night, got all clean, woke this morning, the house was totally reaking of Nana, mom was up smoking and must have had 30 cigs lit at once cuz it was extra strong, and I can smell it all over me. Barf! Everyone was nutz this morning. I had to wake Dude up cuz his alarm didn't go off, Nana was eating everything in site, and making the hole house shitty, she was in my way, she was in Dude's way, grrrr.
Idol tonight. Last night girls did better than boys. I was going nutz. I was tired. I need more sleep than I get. ANyway, resutls tonight. Whatever let me sleep. I have a date Saturday, can it just be saturday? PLease?

so idol sucked last night. i'm hoping the girls do well. i do'nt know who of the boys will go and i'm not sure i'll be suprized, or care for that matter. I'm just kinda pissed that this is basically a top 24 competition.

Angry at Idol

Me cranky. Work has been a disaster again. People, you did't get the message, STAY AWAY FROM HIGHLAND JEWEL lol :) It's completely evil. We just can't do anything right. The whole weekend was a mess for our store. Technology failings, stupid workers, stupid customers, nutzness.

I'm getting very cranky with Idol 4. Tonight is the first of 3 or 4 semi final rounds. I was hoping they wouldn't do semi finals since they spent so much time on Hollywood auditions that went very well. They didn't need to show all that footage, it wasn't all that dramatic at all. Big deal! Grrr. I was origionally thinking they would go from 24 to 12 like BOOM! But no! Tonight guys sing, tomorrow girls sing, wednesday results show. Instead of the top 2 moving on, the bottom 2 men and bottom 2 women go home and everyone else stays. Basically they gave us a top 24 on idol this year WTF!!!!! I hope I really really like some of these ppl cuz I feel burnout coming on already.

Yesterday was fun. Went to work, disaster ensued, got in car to go home, cell phone rings, nearly crash car trying to get to it, find that it's Katie and just get mad and want to throw it out window :) Didn't answer, she called 2 minutes later in the car phone. GRRRRR. :) We went over by southlake (westfield, excuse me) mall and walked around. I got an Auntie Anne's pretzel. They have new sweet pretzel dip and it is the stuff they used on the holiday pretzel in december, without the sprinkles. I had to use the bathroom for a while after I digested it lol. They have dippin dotz, but we forgot it was Sunday and the mall shut down at 6, so I couldn't get any. We went back to Katie's and ordered pizza hut dippin' strips pizza, double cheese :) Watched some Family Guy and Simpsons, then she took me home. Chilled out for a while, took a shower, went online, talked to Daniel :) We're making plans for Saturday cuz I'm off. I'm thinkin we might make a day of it since I have no clue when I'll be free again before summer. Maybe spring break?

Work and Play!!!

Yay kinda happy! I'm workin 4-8p then doing a sleepover with Katie and Megan. Dude will take me to Jewel at 4 and Meg will pick me up, oh I should pack my backpack...I'll blog instead :) Mom has me running errands and donig laundry and going nutz. It's disgusting in our house cuz mom and nana are making the bathrooms stinky. Bleh! I'm kinda looking forward to work, don't know why. Mostly cuz it's a short shift and Shirley won't be there the whole time. Maybe Dawn will come in at 5, that would be nice, or Jamie. I'll be on self check so there'll be some freedom. It's Pizza Party Friday so you get a free liter of pepesi with an unos pizza and sauce.
After I get off Meg will pick me up at 8ish and we'll go to Katie's. The plan is to rent The Notebook out on dvd now. Oh good I'll need a good cry lol. Maybe we'll play cards or Mario Party. Maybe I'll take the last of my hurricane drink. Dunno. Supposedly Katie will be alone cuz her whole family is going to KY for the weekend INCLUDING THE DOG :) I love u jack ;) I'm chewing my lip so I'm gonna go eat. Bye!

AMERICAN IDOL 4

AI4 PICKS ITS TOP 24 TONIGHT!!!! Melissa is so excited :) I have actually enjoyed most everything about this season of Idol. The way they have done audition clips, like last night, was real good. Nobody this season has really screwed up the words and just stopped. That's kewl. I'm also glad they got rid of that stupid thing were they give the contestants 3 lines of text and make them create a melody for it. It really doesn't have much to do with the competition, yet it shows creativity, so eh. I would rather see them do an interview competition, to show that these ppl know how to speak the english language properly. It almost looks like that might be waht they do tonight, but I think they are just calling them in individually. You can kinda guess who the top 24 will be, at least about 10 of them. Country girl Carrie Underwood, rocker Constantine, the blond dude that had a trachiotomy, the Justin Guarini reincarnation, others that I don't know real well yet. I must say I'm impressed with the variety this year. The girls look different and have more lower voices rather than how everyone else sounds. They have more Christinas rather than Britneys or Jessicas. One person I'm confused over my feelings about is that Asia person. She always opened up with some brilliant thing, like walking into the audition rappin real fast or whatever that was, then busted into Michael. And she always had something strong to say so she could have been a great role model. Sadly she's just more of a MJ impersonator, which is good especially being a girl, but I think if she had just done something as herself (if she knows how), she might have moved on. She's gonna do very well for herself.

So yesterday was a kewl day. I popped on Lavalife and found new mail waiting for me. It ended up being the dude from Griffith I mentioned yesterday. That's how he found me. We exchanged emails and he sent a vday greeting with a cutesey little bear. It was nice. So I added him to my messenger list and we talked for like 2 hours or something. We have sooooo much in common it's scary and he's so kewl. I have seen him at jewel it turns out. He goes there for pop and stuff. Well yea, it's a grocery store now isn't it lol. Shuddup, Melissa ;) Anyway, I hope he's not some player cuz he said every right thing and I floated on the clouds off to sleep lol. What the hell is wrong with me????
Today has already been a major disaster of lies, deceit, and some amazing BS that got me temporarily out of trouble. When my binder magically reappears in a day or so, then I'll do my homework corrections, and in the meantime I'm gonna go freak out about a major geography test, and whip out a 3-5 page paper on religion, oh and Caroline wants to watch Idol, then I want to watch One Tree Hill, but that coincides with Scrubs where Clay Aiken will be singing. Good thing I'll be awake to see him on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight, unless it was on last night...oh and I should shower cuz I'm getting gross again. Maybe mom and I'll go to Highland Jewel today and see JP :) He's kewl. Oh I found out that the surveys from Jewel went to all the damn stores, not just our bad one >=( Ok, bye!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!! I must admit I'm not really too massively into this whole v-day thing. I wasn't expecting a card or anything from anyone. I got one from parents though and cash. Don't know why. Happy I guess. *shrug*

Didja see the Grammy's last night? I cried when I saw Melissa Etheridge. You go girl! I was happy that Maroon 5 won. I loved Adam's speech. I thought it was the best of the whole night. So yes 'tis V Day and as much as I just said I don't really worry too much about this day and all the crap that goes with it, I'm all excited. I've had a wide range of emotions this week. I've gone from massivly cranky to excited, from depressed to rage over everything, it's nutz to be a Melissa. I'm trying to do laundry, but Nana keeps getting her stuff put in with mine and that's just nasty...*barf* My stuff will never get clean with her stuff in there. That was new underwear too :(
Work has been a complete fucking disaster. Just stay away from the Higland Jewel, just stay the hell away. Go to Dyer or Munster, hell go to Meijer for all I care. Don't come back to highland jewel till about summer. By then Shirley might be gone and ppl might be back to normal. You should have been there the other day. I worked 8.5 hours with 2 breaks and a half hour lunch, non paid. Overall, I would say it flowed very nicely. Unfortunately, after about the 3 hour mark, Shirley went berserk. I don't really know what it was truly about, I just know that the reason was that she needed Matt to close up so that he could do 10 seconds, SECONDS worth of work for someone else, lifting a heavy thing for an old lady. He had a line, so I went out to grab some other customers out of his line cuz I wasn't busy, there wasn't anyone to pull over. So I just stood there watching Matt. Shirley had asked him 2 minutes earlier to close up so that he could help the lady. He turned his light off and flipped his sign, but the customer he had, had 2 orders, and Shirley flipped her lid! I TOLD YOU GO CLOSE OFF AND HELP HER! "this is the same order, excuse me!" ...oh... That was about the time I went to go get more ppl, and the bitch comes out of nowhere and bumps into me and gets all nutz "ya SEE, THIS is what i'm TRYING to do, I want matt to CLOSE, so YOU need to look for ppl and say HERE, i'm open on 3 I'LL TAKE YOU HERE!" She's so lucky I didn't answer back anything more than a calm " i realize this" because my answer should have been something like ' I REALIZE THIS AND I'M ONE FUCKING STEP AHEAD OF YOU SO SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE!'
Sorry, I'm screaming a lot here aren't I? Can't help it. I feel so bad for Matt cuz he didn't deserve her crap. NObody does. Nobody deserves to smell Nana's 24 hours a day either...bye.

So I'm sick to death of getting up at 6:30 every morning and having to chug caffeine to stay awake. Surprizingly I don't find it a good way to live my life. I need some alone time. From the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed I always have someone else near me unless I'm in the car. Even then I'm not happy to be alone lol. I'm very pissed that Dude has to work so many doubles. Then mom drinks more and gets more annoying and talks more but only says the same goddamn things. She won't cook while Dude is gone so we get carryouts. I'm so sick of fast fucking food. Maybe we can have Taco Bell tonight or something. That might be decent.
