Twenty-first century Idol

I'm watching and blogging Idol tonight, mainly b/c I don't have time for a recap, and I'm so fucking bored with it tonight.
1 - Lisa - Kelly Clarkson - Because of You
WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU THINKING? HORRIBLE!!!
2 - Kellie - Sara Evans - Suds in the Bucket
She looked really cute, boring song though.
3 - Ace - Train - Drops of Jupiter
I've finally figured out why I hate ace. I feel the same way about him that I do about Britney Spears. Alright to look at, but nasal, and not all that talented. Horrible shirt, horrible vocal, he needed a different key for that song, horrible.
4 - Taylor - Ray ? - Trouble
I was so excited when I saw his new haircut and nice jacket. He looks up to date again lol. Once again, the performance of the week is given by RYAN SEACREST for his comments to Simon 'If this is Clay Aiken, that is very Kelly Clarkson'. Just because Taylor's hair looks like he's 65, doesn't mean he has to dress like it. Boring song though, nice high notes I guess.
5 - Mandisa - Mary Mary - Wanna Praise You
Were I in church, that might have been nice, but this is American Idol, c'mon ppl. Who cares. I walked out of the room and did litterboxes during her song.
6 - Chris - Creed - What If
I didn't recognise the song till the end, which I actually thought was flat rather than Randy who said sharp. I'll only vote for him tonight I bet.
7 - Katherine - Christina Aguilera - The Voice Within
She looked pretty, but didn't sing all that well. Falsetto was a bad idea.
8 - Bucky - Tim McGraw - Real Good Man
I think I'm developing a little crush on Bucky lol. I was still bored with him though.
9 - Paris - Beyonce - Work It Out
Yeah, that was a bad move, she was styled very contemporary like Christina Milian or something and she didn't sing it very well, I preferred the Aloha M. version from 2 seasons ago or something and nobody really remembers that one either.
10 - Elliot - Gavin DeGraw - I Don't Wanna Be
Oh Elliot, you dork. I loved you, but now you look like Dustin Diamond with that goatee, shave it. Plus I think you messed up, and I know you didn't sing all the notes that make the refrain so important. I figured you would do it better than Bo, but I'm not sure, at least you dressed better than him, or did you?

Nothing much to say. I should be sleeping. I don't wanna. I wore the same jeans all week, that was pretty exciting. Even got to wear them to work 2 days if I paid a dollar. I did :) KINGDOM HEARTS 2 COMES OUT IN 10 DAYS PPL!!! 10 DAYS!!! Tomorrow Prison Break starts up agaon on FOX and Tuesday is Idol. Internet rumors say the theme is 50s music. I'm expecting 11 great performances to quickly steal and add to the computer :D

Not Eggs Again!!!

I'm sick and I can't smell (thankfully), but I smelled eggs tonight all over the house. I asked what smelled like eggs and mom said it was the little heater. I knew that was bullshit. Dad went up to the bathroom and did his thing and apparently he sat down to do it and said it smelled like eggs!!! The last time dude smelled like eggs we were all sick for new years!!! He was burping eggs, farting eggs, doing everything eggs. HE NEVER EVEN ATE EGGS!!! We are all "doom-ed" as Jumba says in Stitch.
Ratz, Melissa left idol. Why the hell did the other 2 get dragged down with her. I smells me some conspiracy!!!

Well dammit, I'm sick. I was awake most of last night having a terrible cough and nose all stuffed. My pillow was soaked with drool. Bleh! Let's quickly talk about Idol and then end with something wicked!

1 - Ace - Do I Do
Oh no you don't. He sounded better in the video clip, why did he decided to do a different part? Cute dance though. Go white boy, go.
2 - Kellie - Blame it on the Sun
I think a different group that I like did this song but made the word Sun to Rain. This was boring, but she looked beautiful!
3 - ELLIOT - Knocks Me Off My Feet
Yes he does! Very good, nice outfit as well. Thinking spring! Poor Elliot, 90% deaf in one ear AND diabetic, which is why he has bad teeth. Why does he have to look like a damn garden gnome though? Oh well, I voted for him.
4 - Mandisa - Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing
I like her makeover. Why the hell did Ryan have to take her shoes off? Good grief! It never really occured to me until recently how big she is. Oh well. She did kinda good.
5 - Bucky - Superstition
Holy hell! Fluffy hair! The whole thing was "appauling with a capital A"
6 - MELISSA - Lately
Ok, I love my namesake, and I hate Lately. She totally blew it with the words in the first half of the song, but dammit, she needs to stay in the competition. This is Bucky's week to go. I voted about 10 times for her, and when mom gets the texting bill, I will be shot to death! SAVE MELISSA 18664365706 OR TEXT VOTE TO 5706!!!
7 - Lisa - Signed, Sealed, Delivered
Not bad, she looked cute, she reminds me of Natalie Cole at least in the looks dept.
*Ok the next 2 people to go back to back were the people I like to refer to as the Bush Twins. Kevin looks like our current President - George W Bush, and then Katherine went and she reminds me of Sophia Bush from One Tree Hill*
8 - Kevin - Part Time Lover
This guy doesn't deserve to be in the top 12. Will Or Gedeon should come back. At any rate, I loved me some Kevin tonight. As I started to watch the judges hate all the performances, I was sure Kevin would somehow really shine, and I was correct. He sang beautiful! He was so funny with Simon as well. "That's Ok, I wasn't expecting much from you anyway." Ryan was also on fire this week but I don't remember what all he said.
9 - Katherine - Till You Come Back To Me
Is she the one that the pregnancy rumors are swirling around? Cuz that dress didn't really help quash them. Ugly thing. Her voice was kinda nice though.
10 - Taylor - Livin' for the City
Two words - holy crap!
11 - Paris - All I Do
Looked and sang well.
12 - Chris - Higher Ground
I didn't know either versions of this song. I think the band outplayed him and it was actually giving me a headache trying to listen to it all. I did like him running to sing with the backup people though. Bad timing with the cutoff!

Ok now back to me. Yesterday while I was trying not to get fired at work, someone young came in my line. It was a girl, teenager, as I was handing her the receipt for her bill, she got a phonecall. She pulled one of the nifty little hot pink razor phone out of her purse, and it was singing POPULAR from the musical WICKED!!! I thought it was adorable. I asked her if she was a Kiristen Chenoweth fan or a Wicked fan, she answered Wicked fan. I was kinda sad lol.

Does anyone know how the fuck to get american idol mp3s from this season that ARE NOT hosted at rapidshare? I want Melissa McGhee mp3s but can't find what I want, and when I go to rapidshare, it says file not found.

Idol boys

Last night the guys sang alone for the last time. That makes this the last thursday show, yay! Let's see what I think. Last week the guys all sounded awesome, this week almost awesome :)
Tayler - I loved him doing Easy last week, that's a good song, this week I don't know what the song was he did, but the dance scared the crap out of me, I hope he stays lol.
Elliot - Moody's Mood For love was amazing and very jazzy, this week I wasn't as wowed by his performance, but I see no reason for him to leave.
Ace - Last week he picked a great song, but that falsetto was horrific, this week I loved the MJ song and the high notes were perfect, but I was half scared he would just stay up there the whole song. I'm all about MJ right now cuz I am rediscovering his Dangerous album. Oh, I should mention Ace had a nifty shirt on lol. I guess he could stay, but eh.
Gedeon - I loved him last week on the Sam Cooke song, and this week he did well again with WAMLAW lol. Sadly, the audience screamed at the best part of the song. I hope someone with super editing abilities can fix that so we hear him better. The end was really good as well. I hope he stays.
Kevin - I was actually mildly surprized that he did well on the Grapevine song last week. This week he didn't do bad with Vincent, it was nice, but do you really want nice in the competition? No, you want wow, he needs to go. America has been doing well so far this season, keep it up.
Sway - it was his time to go, yay
Will - OMG! When they said he was going to do Lady I nearly had a heart attack! I was like 'no, you need gedeon to do it with a deep voice' but holy crap, Will pulled it off!!! Go babe go! This week I really loved him doing the James Taylor song. I wish I had voted more than once for him. I hope he stays. He made the song jazzy and I was quite happy with that. Stay will stay!
Bucky - jesus! how do you mess up thunder rolls by garth brooks? i hated it, go home, i hated this week. i don't like bucky. he's cute himself kinda, but i just don't like him singing.
David - bye bye!
Chris - LAST WEEK WAS AMAZING!!! This week was good, but eh, but I don't think he'll go home or anything. I continue to vote for him.

This week we need to get rid of Kevin and Bucky. Then all will be perfect for the boys to sweep the girls in idol season 5. Tune in tonight to see what disaster Paula creates.

So, um, like, yeah, it's been a while lol. Here's what I think of Idol so far. The Girls suck, the guys rock, and i have a feeling that there is a scandal abreewin. I think the girls are picking off a different list than the guys. Guhduhbuhduhduh. Let's see how I feel about week 2 and 3 so far shall wee?
Girls Week 2
Katherine McPhee - she did stevie wonder "all is fair in love" or something. I didn't really like this. She was better week one. This week she did "think" by aretha franklin. I was happier with Diana DeGarmo's version, however i kinda like her tone i think.
Kinnik Sky - I don't like her. Her voice is unique but I don't like the choices she's made at all. It would be kewl for her to do more country if she did it better, but if all she's gonna do is the usual r&b stuff, then she should just go home. i wish simon would tell her to pack her bags.
Lisa Tucker - Lisa is not quite on my radar. Her audition was quite impressive, but nothing she's done in the semi's is good for me. last week she did some en vogue song and i didn't care. this week she sounded kinda kewl but she just sang a song i didn't know and didn't care about ultimately.
Heather Cox - I really actually liked hero...oh well
Brenna - she's gone! yayayayayayaya!
Paris Bennett - Paris is still in it, i'm not entirely sure why. Week one she did quite well, but she really needs to work it out again. I hated "wind beneath my wings" and she didn't do much better with not knowing the words go Conga by gloria estefan this week. she can do well, but it's not happening for me.
Ayla - I don't want to like her lol. I think she's growing on me though. She's tall. I loved the Celine Dion song, but it needed a little more 'oomph' ya know? Needed a different key or something. This week she did a current top 40 song that I don't know well. I wouldn't mind seeing her leave.
Kellie Pickler - She did great last week. she was definately "something to talk about" :) This week she did I'm the Only One and I was reminded of season 2 Kimberly Caldwell again. I hate it when this happens.
Mandisa - Last week she did Cry by Faith Hill and I was actually quite worried that she could be axed a la Jennifer Hudson. Being so good and over the top like that tends to hurt people sometimes. She made it though and this week did something almost stereotypical for a black female on idol. she sang I'm Every Woman. She did it phenominal but still...I think I'm kinda over black people being on Idol. Out ove 24 ppl there were only 6 non white contestants but still, i'm sick of it. However, now i"m sick of country. We just need the guys to win it. Speakin of the guys...hangon, i almost forgot my fave female! The one who shares me name!
Melissa - I love this chick. Why Haven't I Heard from you was ok, but she looked cute, When the Lights Go Down week 1 was awesome and again, she looked cute, and this week the Heart song was awesome and she looked good. I was hoping she would "Blow" more tonight, but oh well. for some reason simon wants her gone, wtf???? If she leaves, i'll basically have nobody to like in the females. Maybe that aint' so bad.
Now speakin of the guys, well I'll make a seperate post about them tomorrow.
