Is it so wrong?

Is it so wrong that when I woke up this morning the first song that came to my head was "They Both Reached For the Gun" from Chicago? Is it so horrible that I just wanted to see everyone die today at Jewel? It actually wasn't so bad. I was highly entertained by the thought of people dying though lol. I had a million songs going on in my head all day about dying people and killing people. It got me through the day. Is that so wrong?

Gobble Gobble

Yup yup it's Thanksgiving again, well it's not anymore cuz it's midnight but it was thanksgiving today :) I have been meaning to write but haven't done so. Sorry. Just a quick version of last week - Saw Dougable Tuesday, Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Sat, oh yeah and Sunday. I need to sleep so I can wake up and see him asa matter of fact lol. Last nigth we played vollyball. Boy are my arms tired.

busy busy. and yet not so. choppy sentences. yay! fragments even, not sentences. oh well. so where have i been? thursday night i was about with mr. harper. we've developed a bit of a sick relationship where we see each other every day lol. it's kinda crazy. i'm sure i was about with him every day for the past week lol. thurs i had an appointment and then ended up at meijer with him and we wanted pizza and i almost invited him back to my house but we decided against pissing dude off. dude fed me pizza when i got home. we both ate it, but around 3 in the morning i woke up with food poisoning. i was sick as shit for two days. i have never been so wiped out. horrible. it was like you never know what substace will come out of what end of your body. eek! i'm the only person in the family this stuff happens to. nobody else got sick from the pizza, nobody else ate a bad egg a few years ago on easter and got gastroenteritis. grrr. saturday i went to business training school. it was alright. doug must have gone up on stage about 7 or 8 times for recognition :D he's such a hard working dude! now i just gotta convince him to make all those damn calls! great guhduhbuhduhduh!!!!! if only i had never taken that stupid extra shift for thursday. i could have had the whole day free to help angel with recruiting and doug with calling. there's always the evening.
let me stop rambling for a min. what happened sunday? i closed taco bell lol. WHAT?!? yes, i said taco bell. doug got called into the bell cuz an emergancy came up and someone went to the ER. so he told me to come see him. i knew the floor closed at 9 so i went to see him before then. he invited me to sit in the office with him and before i knew it 9 became 10 became 11:30 became 1am lol. i got to help put food away and do inventory and work on the calculator and count the drawer and make sure all the receipts were there! yippee! now i know why it takes him so long to do all this shit and how come he hates it so much :) he should come in sunday mornings with me and sift through cupons lol.
monday i wasn't expecting to hear from doug but he called me and watned to know if i would be interested in seeing Santa Clause 3 with him. we were the only 2 in the theater! last night was class and then he and i and elaine went to eat. we were out till 1am again. shew! time for a nap! i'll probably see you know who in my sleep!

I don't deserve to feel as good as I do. I should be very drunk and hung over lol. Dougable is probably paying for it worse than me lol. I feel great actualy, quite awake and hyper and annoying. Dude wants to murder me lol. Many good reasons for that on any given day, let alone today. Ok must go.

You remind me of someone...

Holy crap! You'll remember my speaking of Doug in the last post? I love Doug lol. Well over recent weeks I have met his grandmother. She instantly reminded me of my mother's dear friend Corraine Fernando. I thought I had mentioned this to Doug, but no. Today at lunch I mentioned it to him. Gail was also there. I thought he would have a heart attack! He grabbed onto my arm kinda tight and his eyes got real big. "Say that name again?!?" I thought he misheard me so I repeated 'Corraine Fernando'. IT TURNS OUT THAT IS DOUG'S AUNT!!! She's been dead for a few years, but her sister Kathleen turns out to be Doug's grandmother! AAAAHHHHH :) How kewl is that??? All my life when Corraine would visit I would hear about this Douglas kid and how great he is and how I really need to meet him one day. Well, I guess Corraine is having a blast orchestrating this one :) Thank you Corraine!!

Being present and greatful

...is hard work.

It's taken a while to figure out what the hell it means. Last night I finally had a break through, by way of a breakdown. I've been so damn hard on myself and so rude to everyone else. I was drowning. Last night I almost got on here and wrote terrible things like "i feel useless, i want to disappear or die or something". That was literally my plan. Luckily, or maybe unluckily, Primerica pre-empted me. I went to class a complete disaster, I forgot my script, I neglected the person that begged me to call them. My upline looked at me and could tell I was upset. Dave mocked my body language lol. I was frowning, my chin was down, arms crossed. He imitated me. By the damn time I got done with class my tears were close to coming out. I went into the bathroom and just took as many deep breaths as I could because I was goign to lock myself in there and cry my brains out. Then I realized that was bad because eventually I would have to come out and the world would know I was crying lol. So I just left and called Laura with my name a day and went to do literboxes. I got through one and just started with the tears. I was going around the room and just cried and cried and coudln't breathe. My face was so red. I thought I would pass out lol. When I got over it, I finished cleaning and took it out to the curb for garbage collection.
That was the moment when I had my moment of being present and greatful. The weather was nice. The sky was kinda clear. I was just on empty and totally focused on now, that tomorrow, not earlier in the day or yesterday. NOthing mattered except being outside. It was wonderful. I actually started my gratitude journal last night. I also began reading The Ultimate Secrets of Total Self Confidence. Happy Melissa.
Today work Jewel 2-6 and then I intend to go to bffs hosue. We'll see what family intends.

Wild On : Primerica

The past 2 to 3 days have been phenominal. Tuesday I helped Elaine move. Met her dad - interesting time. Ran errands. Had class in the evening. Afterwards we ended up at Langel's - Doug, Elaine, Gail, and Brenda. Lots of liquor lol. We laughed. Doug danced with me. After we left at closing Doug and I had a big conversation and it was all good. However, it stressed me out. Doug had been a little upset and I couldn't help him. That upset me all night I never slept.
Wednesday was a different day and a different Doug :) I worked 2-6 and made plans to hang with Mike who I hadn't seen in quite a while and saw at Langels the previous night. We saw The Departed. Too much graphic blood and MFer name calling and other words. Good acting and hansome leading men though. At any rate, Doug and I spoke after and Mike and I joined Gail and Doug for a meal. Things were slightly complicated but it's all good. Doug and I hung out after that and it was giong to be 1 in the morning. We just drove all over. I met his parents, which is complicated but I appreciated that I was let into his life in that way. *hug for doug* We talked about many things and then I was not really paying much attention to where we were driving, but suddenly we are going for Sibley Ave/Blvd whatever and I'm like "are we going to chicago?" Doug's like "yeah I sorta have a plan" :) It was a marvelous time. We both can't wait for Christmas lol. We stopped at a fountain and got out of the car only to discover it was freezing, and ,duh, WINDY! We watched the water for a minute then walked a block over and looked at a glass building with a white statue/monument thing. It was really nice. Waaay too windy and cold, but nice. We drove home and chatted and I almost fell asleep :) Doug kept lookin at me to see if I was awake, so cute. I was warm and happy and wrapped up in his coat so naturally I was comfy and sleepy. I made it home and life is good. I love you Doug :)

So I got my first speeding ticket last night. I was flying to go meet with friends after our meeting Tuesday night and there were like 40 different things going on at once and everyone had a time frame and I'm without my cell. They were going to meet at Langel's Pizza and I was super late cuz I stopped at home first. I flew past a cop 51 in a 35 past a school at night lol. Not funny, I know :D I look behind my car when I made my turn and there was a cop flashing his lights at me and he's on my butt, so I quickly pull over and slow down and he's slowing down behind me and it's like 'crap!' I had my license and no registration. I tore apart the damn glove box to the best of my ability. Anyway I am not going to tell my family. I think I will just pay it. Almost $200!!!!! Fucking hell!!!

JC Chasez formerly of NSYNC has put out a new single. I would be excited but unfortunately it has been produced by Justin Timberlake :(

Clay AIken and Jordan Knight have both put out new records of love songs. Here is my review of each.

CLAY AIKEN _ A THOUSAND DIFFERENT WAYS
1 - Right Here Waiting - When I heard this the first time I almost threw this CD out the damn window. Clay sounds so whiny and annoying, plus, this version kills the song.
2 - LONELY NO MORE - OMFG!!! This song more than makes up for the bad start to the disc. Clay wrote this song with someone. I can't wait for him to write a billion more songs. This is brilliant and sung so well.
3 - Without You - This is done very sensitively and that's kinda kewl and kinda annoying. It seems to be a pattern of this album. The part where he does the chorus so high is awesome but I'm worried about this being his first single cuz he's gonna run the risk of blowing his voice out. I'm sure there are a million ppl telling him to be careful though :)
4 - Everytime You Go Away - This kicks the crap out of Anthony Federov's version but both are quite awesome in their own way. Here's Clay singing lightly again. Ooo I love the second verse. The way he does the mooooooove :)~~~ drool
5 - Sorry Seems to Be The Hardest Word - Again, very sensitive, but inspiringly beautiful. The way he transitions between his chest and head voice in the chorus is charming. I'm running out of adjectives sorry lol.
6 - When I See You Smile - Not that familiar with the origional. I appreciate the Clay that is singing this...it's Clay as we first fell in love with him. All the little things in his accent come out :) It's growing on me.
7 - A Thousand Days - This must be one of the 4 origional songs written for this album. Not all that impressive. Hmmm, something about the way he does "mine , all mine in my world"....intriguing.
8 - Everything I Do - This is like Right Here Waiting. I don't care for this version. I don't really like the origional song anyway, sorry.
9 - Because You Loved Me - My inital reaction to this was "oh god kill me now" but I gave it a chance to grow ... and it didn't.
10 - I WANNA KNOW WHAT LOVE IS - Once again this is making up for the bad songs. Hey, it's Suzie McNeil from Rockstar : INXS. She steals the show. Can't wait for an album from her :) Clay does well on this. They both soar together and apart vocally.
11 - These Open Arms - Jon Bon Jovi wrote this for Clay :) The words are good, and the refrain is well sung. I'm not exactly jumping up and down though.
12 - Here You Come Again - I've been complaining alot about Clay being whiny on this album but even though he still is on this song, it's actually quite phenominal :D I Love the refrain on this. Gosh I love Clay :)
13 - EVERYTHING i HAVE - INCREDIBLE! SENSITIVE! TOUCHING! A VOCAL MASTERCLAY..I mean masterclass :) One question... who in the world is he singing to????
14 - Broken Wings - I know very little of this origional song. Clay's version reminds me of a funeral or some reqium mass or something. it seems dark compared to the rest of the album. Not such a hot way to close it out.

OVERALL - A -

JORDAN KNIGHT_LOVE SONGS
1 - Waiting For A Girl Like You - I enjoy the way Jordan sounds in his natural voice on this song. The falsetto works really well here as well. A very Jordan song :)
2 - Say Goodbye - Debbie Gibson sings with Jordan on this one. She does really well. I wasn't the biggest fan for her but she's good. He sounds good except for the falsetto. He's getting a bit old for that.
3 - Tender Love - "All the tender love you've given to me" is the best part of the song. I'm not all excited about it.
4 - I Wish - J's got a writing credit on this one. I like the octave jumps in the refrain.
5 - SHE'S GOT A WAY - HOLY CRAP THIS IS THE MOST PHENOMINAL THING IN THE UNIVERSE!!! BETTER THAN THE ORIGIONAL!!! I won't even begin to list all the perfections on this song cuz I would ramble too much :) Listen to it!
6 - Where Is Your Heart Tonight - Sung well. Kewl rhythm on the refrain. Jordan sounds good.
7 - One More Night - This is not a good candidate to be covered by Jordan lol. Nothing wrong, just nothing great.
8 - Have You - Jordan wrote this one. I don't like the falsetto at the beginning. This song is great! Great rhythm and sound.
9 - Careless Whisper - Same comments as One More Night. The origionals are just far superior and shoudln't have been redone.
10 - DRIVE - HELL YEAH!!! GREAT SONG!!! The music, words & lyrics, vocals. Everything is great. The Cars did this origionally but I wonder about the backstory of this song.
11 - No More Tears - This is not the song I was expecting, and perhaps I should just be glad lol. Not so excited about this one.
12 - Little Drummer Boy - What the hell is this doing on here???? This is insane. Sing RUM, don't flip the r. You're from Boston. Why are you changing the melody??? Bad falsetto...again, a bad way to end an album.

Holy hell have I been nutzo!

Yesterday, the first 12 hours I was awake were insane! I had sooo much sugar and went through so many emotions it wasn't even funny lol. I was tired...almost too tired to drink Dew but I did anyway. With my Dew I had a bowl of Berry Lucky Charms. Wow, berry lucky, I just got it :) I was opening at Jewel at 6 so I got dressed and took my dew and went to Jewel. It wasn't bad. Mainly slow. I was so tired and it was a bad brain day. Not only for me, but for my customers lol. We were all mainly dumb. Once I got my break and guzzled down the rest of the Dew I was happy and dancing and bouncing all over the place. Our store manager is on vacation or something for 2 weeks so we are all happy. Other ppl showed up and I was bored and cranky and just wanted to go home. I kept singing Home by Michale Buble. I went home and did stuff or something. I washed clothes! That's it! Then I ate more sugary crap and was doing something when I got a phonecall and fought with people. I was pretty pissed from that when I received a call on my cell. Laura's husband Dave called me and he was like "congratulations, how are you, how are those references coming from your dad? let's keep you on the board and get you to district this month" I almost blew his head off lol. Thank goodness I didn't actually take the call and let the machine get it cuz I would have cussed him out the way I was feeling. All he was doing was being nice but I was just furious about 100 different things. So I was flying around my house in a complete rage. Then I broke down and cried and after that decided to be mad again and use that anger to take a test and pass it! That didn't happen but dammit I was close! I had basically decided I wasn't going to my meeting that night when my cell rings again. It's Gail and she's excited and reminding me of that and this and then she's like " you know you are getting x y and z right?" and I'm like I AM?!?!?! So I was all excited and then she's like 'there's more but i can't tell you now' so I decided I would go to the meeting and just see what the hell happens. Turns out that I was supposed to receive a pin because I got 1 recruit, one life close, and one GOOD loan :) The most super awesome part of it is that as soon as I can I need to pass my test this month because I QUALIFIED FOR SENIOR REPRESENTITIVE! Yay, happy clappy!
Ok well I'll have to talk to you about other stuff later lol.

Today (well it's after midnight now so really it was yesterday) I added a new member to my team at Primerica :) Now I just gotta set up appointments like crazy! I also took another practice test today - in our Regional Vice President's office!!! OOOOOO!!! I want it :) I can taste it!
I got a 67 and I need a 70. Grrrr. Always so close!

GUESS WHAT!!!!

ON AUG 1 I GOT A SUNBURN :) (That's not the exciting news though.)
Here's how ~ On the 1st Megan and I went to Deep River Waterpark and stayed out in the 100 degrees and played. lol. I put SPF 45 on my shoulders and arms, but it never occured to me to do on my face and chest. Boy do my boobs itch!

I'm finally getting ready to try another life insurance test and get recruits and get my promotions! (That's not the exciting news though.) Here's how ~ I went to my first breakfast club meeting today. It was actually not that great. Some people said they had tears in their eyes after certain people spoke...why...couldn't tell ya. Didn't see it. To me, I woke up at 5 am to get a free breakfast and then watch wealthy people yell at us. 2 of the people who are supposed to be most revered were absolute assholes lol. Oh well, tomorrow will be my first business training school. I hear one of the assholes is going to be speaking there too. Yippiee....oh and I get to walk across the stage for getting something...ah, for getting certified. I'm telling you folks, I don't know how I do these things lol.

It's so easy to be green :D

So today was fun. I woke up and put on my green shirt that is camoflauge and says "ha! now you can't see me" then applied green eyeshadow :) i played with my makeup today and it was fun. i did ok until the blush, then i made a mess :)
mom and dad had a doctor's appointment today so i stayed home and ran my own errands. i got new sandals that make me a foot taller than i am lol. i also got kewl jeans that have kewl green camo stuff on them. ooo i also have my kewl green bracelet on from florida.
the green may be coming in for my new business as well. turns out that the girl i asked to take a look at our company is going to join and she was already bringing in people to look at it. apparently, i did good :)
i was supposed to be at meg's now to watch big brother all stars but primerica called to say they needed a favor, so i'm awaiting the arrival of gail and laura :)

Extreme Makeover - MELISSA EDITION!!!

So on July 1 Caroline got married and it was Meg's bday. The jazz and blues fest is going on soon in Munster and last year I went with Caroline! Now we'll never see her again for about 4 years if not more yikes!

I got a makeover today. Merle Norman did my makeup. I'm terrified. I feel like a circus clown. I was just gonna get a little application and maybe be sold on something, but she was all like 'put this on first, then wash it off, then do this, then that, the color goes all over your eyes then this one, then that, now mix and smudge', very scary. i'll play with it a bit and see what happens.

nothing much to say oh and bffs bday was july 2nd. she 23 like me now. megan's bf is in town and tomorrow is bb7 - all stars. so exciting. bye bye

We spent the last two days together roughly lol. The previous night we went to the mall together. Yesterday we went garage sailing and then to the carnival. Last night I was invited to stay for dinner because Moe was cooking his most awesome salmon :) Thanks, Moe! Great job! There was also some delicious pasta I believe Meg's mom made! Great job Mrs. Wente! Oh and thank you again very much for the name!

I went to class last night and I was introduced to two new people by Laura. She got them to join her team so they are kinda my teammates but not "mine" ya know? They are both young good looking guys. I think I snubbed them, but grrr. I'm so mad. Especially when it was thrown in my face that one of them signed up and went to the convention with them and that 'this is melissa, she went out of town'. Son of a Stitch! Now I need to take this and build on it and go out and get people and get appointments.

my vacation 2006

alright, since meg was nice enough to do hers, i'll do mine. here is a little recap of my vacation. it started last saturday with mom being a bitch. oddly enough, it ended this morning with mom being a bitch :) now that i really think of the comparisons in leaving and coming home, i realize that the gods didnt' really want us to go. they wouldn't let us leave munster, and they blocked us from getting to our place in florida. you see, as we left, we realized we forgot something and turned around a few blocks and went home to get it and start on our journey again. well the munster police invaded and blocked off most of the streets to where we needed to go because of some running thing the highschool team was doing. grrr. we make our retarded trip to florida and get within blocks of high point world resort on I192 and cops are blocking where we need to go due to brushfires. the way everyone was redirected took us an hour and a half out of our way. between brushfires, hurricanes, detours, and mom bein an ass, we were pretty pissed when we arrived :)
Our first official day shaped up a little better....oh wait, no it didn't. we quickly discovered that you can't smoke in most public places anymore in georgia or florida. i half expected my family to turn the car around. oh and thank god mom brought her own vodka cuz on sunday's you can't drink down south either. however, you can drive a motorized grocery cart into wine bottles in a store and break a bunch and not get charged :) someone please shoot everyone except for me. it was just a matter of time really. i still don't know if it was dude's fault or moms. it was her driving, but his idea for her to get the thing. she's an idiot and just tears around on those motorized grocery carts at full speed with no regard to anyone or anything around her. there was an endcap full of 30 wine bottles and she went "around them" as she called it, *ya right* and i cringed just knowing what was going to happen. all you could hear was shattering glass, mom charging through, and everyone's jaw hitting the floor :)
After the state of Florida announced our arrival to what was known as hurricane Alberto, he downgraded himself to a tropical storm because he figured enough damage had already been done and the ppl had been through enough lol. We decided to head to a place called Old Town down the road from our place. The fires were out b/c of the rain so we got through easily. Sadly for me, there were puddles up to my ankles and I was wearing sandals >=( I bought Dew at the general store and a kewl green bracelet at Black Market Minerals. The next day we went to the Florida Mall cuz it was still raining a bit and we didn't wanna get wet in Disney. I got a top at Macy's and mom got earrings and something else. I was surprized to learn that the Disney store sucks in that mall. It's been downsized to a storage closet practically. No good stuff either. I went to the M&Ms store and got to meet 3 of the 5 characters. I met Red, Green, and BLUE!!! They were very nice fuzzy people :)
Wednesday we made it to Disney! We went to Epcot!!! It's the best fucking place on earth! I wore my I Wanna Play With Clay shirt and I got a reaction from everyone lol. "oh you are an artist?" "no worse than that, I am an american idol fan" "ohh, *that* clay" They were always disappointed lol. I got to see Figment and I went on the new ride Soarin' all by myself, which, for me, was a very stupid move lol. I dont' like heights, but dammit, I had a fast pass lol. In Canada, I saw OFF KILTER!!! They have a great new Cd called Kick It! I can't wait forbfft and Meg to hear it. We went back to Old Town for dinner. We ate at what used to be Damon's, but is now a sports bar and grill. Since it was late and dark in there and my parents weren't allowed to smoke inside, the waiter suggested we choose an outdoor table. Fine, I looked like a little kid and the waiter gave me a children's menu. Hell yeah, I had mac and cheese and mt dew. Then a bug flew into the Dew and I caused a scene and got another dew lol. A few minor details. Mom is an idiot...have I mentioned that? She got her fingers stuck in the car window trying to litter on the way to Epcot. Also, there is a hell of a lot of new construction going on all over 192. Next time I make it down there, I will not know how the hell to get anywhere.
On Thurs we shopped at Downtown Disney. We did the normal side, not the good side lol. I went in all my toyshops though. I got some stuff for friends, though not nearly as much as I would have liked, I got myself a dvd and some Stitch pins :)
On Friday, hurricane Falgier invaded the Magic Kingdom. The day started off in perfect Falgier fashion - we got into the MK parking lot and parked, Melissa was excited about monorails and then saw one with a pretty green stripe, ooo. She looked up at the green striped monorail and *dramatic music* THERE WAS A STITCH ON THE FIRST CAR so Melissa screamed as if she was being kidnapped and Dude had a heart attack and screamed at Melissa for exsisting! Then Dude opened up the back of the car to get out the wheelchair and it fell out and attacked Dude for yelling at Melissa. Dude had to limp up the ramp to the ferry lol. Let that be a lesson to you :) Yeah, so we hadn't even officially reached the happiest place on earth and we were all just one big fucking ray of sunshine lol. If only Dude had a machine gun.... When we were on Main Street we saw Donald Duck giving out autographs and I wanted so badly for Dude to get in line with me and let me take a pic of him and Donald but he would have nothing to do with it >=P Nothing much exciting happened. I got a picture with a statue of Pleakly from Stitch and Tigger gave me a high five as he was bouncing by.
Sat. was uneventful. Got ice cream, stayed home, did laundry, swam, got sun on my nose and shoulders but nowhere else really. You wouldn't really guess I had been to florida. Gave Dude a new wallet for Dude's Day. He like it. I even filled it with his crap from his other wallet.
Yesterday morning we left. As we came in the state of Florida it rained, as we left the state of Florida, it was raining. Wow, another compairison lol. Dude was thinkin' IHOP for breakfast. Yeah, so were all the other dad's in FL. Sorry Dude, no food for you. Ride home was alright. Except for the drinking, fighting, smoking and bitching we all got along well. TN is the only smart state in the south lol. Once it got dark out, I went to bed and slept till morning. We arrived at 9:30 Monday morning and I went to work 3-10p lol. Today I'm off, but I have a billion ideas of what to do in my head.

Mom and I went to work with Dude this morning because it wasn't a day where he had to work, he just needed to come in to be paid to eat food all day and be made fun of :) We have embarrassing pictures of him in silly hats, holding huge cups of coffee :) I got Dude a cute shirt. It says American Idle :) It looks like like the real logo for Idol. Everyone likes it. It wasn't quite what he wanted but mom never let him finish telling her what he exactly wanted so oh well. This is better anyway. We went home for a few minutes and then went out to lunch at Red Lobster. I'm full and tired cuz I had a raspberry margarita with rum :) It is so nap time :)

what's wrong with me? i'm indecisive and i can't spell. at least i admit it!

does anyone know about primerica? it's a division of citigroup which has citibank and all that. they want to offer me a job. i don't know how i feel about this. i have no experience. it was just random luck. it's actually all my front end manager's (June) fault. there was a bit of a line building on register one and i was working SCOTT (self checkout terminals). June saw a man who just wanted to purchase a greeting card and brough him over to me and asked me to help him. He was tall and nice looking and I walked him through it. He asked me if I was keeping my options open and I said, sure why not, and he was like, i'm building a new business up down the road in griffith and we're looking for people, give me your contact info and i'll have an associate contact you about a meeting. well they did and i went to an informational meeting on tuesday. i set up a personal meeting for tomorrow at 5pm. i'm hoping i let enough time pass where they have found a few ppl to come work for them and they dont' want me cuz i sure as hell have no reason to work for them. they do have a training program which is sweet. listen, it's not that i don't want to work for a company that made 1.3 TRILLION, yes 1.3 trillion dollars last year, it's just that, out of all the ppl in the world, why me? shouldn't i be saying hooray, why not me? guhduhbuhduhduh!!!! freakin' fadoodlebunkers!!!

I actually let Dude make me eggs this morning

The past few days have flown by. I worked, I pissed ppl off, and switched shifts, saw 2 plays and rushed around Chicago like a lunatic. On Wed, Megan sked me if I wanted to see the MHS version of The Music Man with her and her sister on Friday. I agreed, having completely forgotten that I had previously made plans with bff for Friday afternoon/evening. Well that pissed bff off and her wrath snowballed through the week.
On Thursday I worked and was going on my break when Caroline came through the self check out. She was in a real pickle - she was stuck with Wicked tickets and couldn't go. She asked if I could take them. Being a good friend, of course I agreed cuz I'm selfish and want to see Wicked. I asked bff if she wanted to take the other ticket, but she was in the middle of something and pissed at the world so she screamed at me again. Baaad move cuz 2 hours later she found herself stranded at the train station with nobody to pick her up. Who does she call? Moi :) It's a good thing I like bff otherwise she could just go live at the train station. You'll hear more about train stations in a few minutes. Anyway, I agree to take Care's tickets and get Megan to go with me. Now all I have to do is get out of working Saturday evening so I can go...that shouldn't be a problem right?
Friday Arrives. I go to Jewel. I talk to Nancy in general pleasentries. Nancy is all business cuz she is the only person doing floor coverage and she just wants the world to fuck off and leave her alone. I get to the point and begin my snake charmer act - I get bit in the face immediately. "You can't just not work, you have to switch and I don't have time to deal with this now, you have to wait at least 15 minutes rawr!" I figure, that ain't so bad, it gives me time to go look at the schedule and figure out who to trade with and find out if there is a train to catch. I go upstairs and call bff. She tells me that there is a 12:40 to Randolph, which is perfect because I can get out of there by 12 and we are headed to Randolph. In the meantime, Nancy has calmed down enough to deal with me. She's still pissed and hisses at me. I tell a few crappy lies that she doesn't bother to question. I apologize a few times but mainly stay quiet as to not piss her off again. We get through everything and I get my hours switched with Matt. I'll take his morning shift and he takes me evening. Things are looking up for Mission Wicked. In an attempt to make things up to bff, I come up with an elaborate plan to go play Kingdom Heart 2 with her for a few hours, grab a quick dinner and then we both rush off to meet Meg and her sister at the HS, now joined by Caroline. Things ended up being a disaster that caused bff to be semi cranky. I thought she was doing better than the previous day but apparently, her very own family took her aside and told her to be nicer to me *evil laughter that echoes throughout the galaxy* The Music Man was good, but I swear the orchestra had a few margaritas for Cinco de Mayo cuz they were horrific!!!
Finally Saturday morning rolled around. I had prepared to be cutting it close with time so I took a change of clothes to work. I worked 3 hours and 45 minutes, and Nancy was kewl and let me skip my break to leave 15 minutes early because she knew I was traveling to Chicago, she just didn't know my full intentions :) Because I was let out early, I called Megan to give her a heads up which was insane because that's when hell erupted! Meg tells me that bff had misread the train schedule and looked at week DAY and not WEEKEND!!! We would not be able to make it to see Wicked if we had to rely on the South Shore Train. I told Meg to wait at my house so that Dude could help do whatever we needed to do and I arrived home a few minutes later. Megan's family was kind enough to set us up with a Metra Train. We made it there a little late, but we did get to see Wicked :) We almost had to go live at the train station ourselves after our 8pm south shore ride home left at 7:55 without warning and without us on it! NOW WHAT THE FUCK WERE WE GOING TO DO??? We ended up taking the Metra back to Homewood, which pissed Dude off lol. You know this story can't have a happy ending right? He made it to the Metra station before we did and saw two trains stop at the station. We didn't get off on either of them so he was sure we had missed our stop and were on our way to St. Louis or something. He was just about to go inside the bar across the street and drink when finally TADA! WE GOT OFF THE TRAIN!!! Ah, but the fun didn't stop there. Apparently Dude didn't pay the toll while hurrying to get us, then when we were all in the car, Megan spilled her ice cream all over the back seat :D
That brings us up to today. Since Dude was a total hero last night and didn't kill anybody, I let him make eggs and I actually ate them :) It was Nana's 82nd birthday today and I dusted, got the cake, got Nana, we all went to dinner and then I took her home. so what did u all think of idol? i'm hoping that for the first time in idol history there is an all male top 3, but i don't know how likely that is. it's been wierd that all week long ppl have been saying paris is going to go home and now she has. i guess elliott is next on the chopping block. however, if they are going to graceland for the next assignment, we may be listening to 8 butchered elvis songs. taylor hicks and katherine mcphee should shine and chris and elliott will be scrambling, though in the end i think elliott will go home. then again, at this stage in the game you never know what could happen.

in what i consider to be more EXCITING idol news, kelly clarkson has a song in a ford commercial!!! i love the song and i knew it was her the moment i heard it. very nice. can't wait for a 2007 album from her. IN THE MEANTIME CLAY AIKEN SHOULD BE GETTING A NEW RELEASE OUT!!! His website finally said he was workin on it for a 2006 release. why do i feel like my chain is being pulled....

i'm not usually all about the purple, but i'm having a weak week and caving in. my brain is going purple. it's like the blue offramp in a construction zoneor something.

I may have said this in the other post, but I was looking back at April 2005 in this blog and I think I was much happier last year. I was bouncing footballs and movin to Austin or something and going on rockets with pillows. Speakin of which, I could really use a new pillow, I killed my damn neck and shoulders last night. I need to hire a pillowfluffer or something.

WELL IT'S OFFICIAL (again cuz I think I attempted to make this announcement before) DUDE IS OFFICIALLY RETIRING FROM MITTAL (Inland, Ispat Inland) STEEL!!!!! He got all his social security stuff worked out and gave his month's notice!!! JUNE 1ST DUDE IS RETIRED AFTER 45 YEARS OF STEELWORKING!!!! If I may make a prediction, should this blog last that long I predict I will be less happy next April 2007!

Well good news. After a horrific 8 hours on Sunday, I had 2 days off. This gave everyone time to dig out their Preferred Cards again. I only had to look a few people up and for the most part, I found everyone through their driver's licences. Good Job everyone! Keep it up!
There was a secret PC passed down to me indirectly from the powers that be. I used it in secret 3 times. I don't think I was supposed to, but eh. I had to laugh several times. One dude didn't have his card and he was spanish so I'm not sure if it was more funny the way he said it or what he said, but he echoed my exact sentiment that I expressed a few entries down. He was on the phone with his wife and said
"yeah baby they dont' have the PCs anymore, they say 'fuck the customers, fuck good customer service."
He was one of the ppl I swiped the card for. Had he not been on the phone I would have busted out laughing and probably would have walked around to hug him. I have no clue what stopped me to be honest :)
Another customer gave us all a good laugh. He bought a decent amount of food and I gave him his total.
"Here's a check, and may I have $50?"
"Sure thing, that takes your amount to $####"
While we were waiting for the check to print I was giving my awesome customer service since I was in a good mood because everything was working, and asked if he had big plans for the evening.
"Yes, I'm picking up my wife and we're going someplace expensive - THE GAS STATION!"
A few of the next ppl in line and I laughed.
Overall, I had a good 5 hours yesterday and I hope to have another great 6 on Sat.

Yesterday I went to the library for mom. I got myself the Fall Out Boy Cd. It's pretty awesome if you want to listen to an hour of loud crazy hyper music. Fits me perfectly. I finally got caught up on all the stupid TV I've been taping lately too. Prison Break - woo! Next week the official escape begins if Michael can get the help of the nurse. The locks have been changed, the floor has been busted, hell the whole plot has been busted, but they are going anyway lol. What I still need to find out is what the heck happened last week on One Tree Hill. WGN chose to show the bulls game and put everything on later so I missed it. Family guy has been good as well. Oh well. I'm waiting for the sheets and towels to dry so that I can take my shower. I'm nervous for Idol tonight. Love songs...poor Chris.

IF WE CAN'T FIND YOU IN OUR SYSTEM, THEN YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY PREFERRED SAVINGS AT ALL!!! WE ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO JUST "PUT IN" A NUMBER FOR YOU.
Trust me, I learned the hard way today.
I signed the paper last week but due to ppl being inconsistant as previously posted, I was still puttin in numbers for ppl. I got my head ripped off today many times. Mostly from the customers, but there were some service desk ppl in my face a few times as well.
I have many issues with this as do you I'm sure, but I'll just sleep on it for now. I just wonder if the president of jewel fell getting out of bed one morning and did a complete 180 degree spin and decided "fuck the customers" or something.
Lesson learned, point made.
If you are coming to Jewel sans PC, I suggest the following
1 - stop at the service desk
2 - go back home and get the fucking thing
3 - be prepared to be completely angered
4 - lose your savings (and btw, you can't just go up to the desk and complain about it either, they won't help you)

Hi :)
I was supposed to see a movie tonight with bff, and I had to get all my chores done, which was simply go to the store and then do dishes. Well, I went to the store. I got very excited about everything I was buying and bought the extreme value buy, and I got savings on Avenu :) I was so wrapped up in all that and I forgot to buy stamps. Oh well, I got them later while I was watching dude fix the flat tire I discovered upon my return to the parking lot. Hm, this story isn't making much sense is it? Here's the juice of the story - wake up, eat, go store, buy stuff, forget stuff, discover flat tire. My uncle picked my groceries and I up and took us home. Dude came home after that and we went back to Jewel (sigh, yes Jewel) and spend 3, count 'em, 3 hours changing the retarded tire. Everyone in the store saw us and I went back to go get the stamps while Dude was working on the tire. Then I went back in later for pop for dude and throat things for mom. Everyone was like "how's the tire coming?" Everyone knew it was my car from me being there earlier. Why didn't someone offer to deal with it for me lol. So yeah, Dude fixed tire, put spare on, we go tire barn, spend $600+ on 4 new tires. THEY HAVE BLUE STUFF ON THEM! Oh, and I acted like a baby lol. What's new right? There was like little plastic outdoor stuff for toddlers and I kept crawling up and going down the slide lol. I love being small.

Hey! I updated the weather pixie on here. She's a redhead now. It's too red but oh well. Speaking of new red things, I got a jean jacket today. It's Baby Phat, but I don't care. I have been watching this jacket since about November lol. It was once $100 and I got it for less than half of that lol. It's kewl dark denim with red leather on the shoulders and back.
Someone has suggested that I just call this blog "I hate Jewel" and they are right. Yesterday I worked and one manager told me that we are no longer providing customers with curtesy cards. The other manager was just like "screw it, do it yourself."

Idol last night was awesome! I loved everyone, and I hate Ace so much. I loved Kellie no matter what she did wrong and I don't normally. I will talk more later I hope.

I'm sitting here trying to enjoy some raspberry tea and it's raining. That's fine, I should put my cup out there to be washed. I washed this cup the other day and apparently the dish washing soap has a new formula that has attached itself to my cup. The tea is great, but the cup makes me wanna barf.
I finally had the chace to go to a team huddle on ... a few days ago. I found out that our store got mystery shopped and the secret shopper came through my line. *Everyone faints cuz they know what stupid things I do.* I AM THE FIRST PERSON ANYONE HAS EVER HEARD OF THAT GOT A PERFECT SCORE FOR MY DEPARTMENT!!! I WAS NICE, I MADE CONVERSATION, I WAS ADORABLE, I RANG THINGS QUICKLY AND OFFERED TO HELP WITH STUFF!!!
I have no clue when this happened, but it will never happen again, I promise. Our Highland store got a 91.7 overall score and we are leading in our district. That's up from our last score of 67. For my hard work, I received lots of recognition (the whole store is kinda buzzing about me, strange) and a $5 gift thing that isn't exactly a gift certificate, but isn't a coupon. I was so excited and I have always wanted to get one of these, but now I have decided it totally sucks. I wanted to buy a lunchable and pay with this "award" but you can't get your remaining change back if you don't use it all. You have to spend the whole $5 at once. It's totally useless to me cuz I don't want to eat my weight in food on break. I wasted 85% of my break dealin with this.

Yeah, Idol, Bucky bye bye! Queen theme was strange, as were many of the performances.
Ace Young - We Will Rock You - Strange! When Queen basically told him to go fuck himself, I think everyone except Ace knew he was doomed. It might have been slightly good, at least to me and I'm not a fan of his. I liked his outfit as well.
Kellie Pickler - Bohemian Rhapsody - Strange again. Not bad. It's easier to listen to her sing than to watch her do it. Wow?
Chris Daughtry - Innuendo - Unknown song, but he showed range. He almost hit those high notes too!
Katherine McPhee - Who Wants To Live Forever - This was very powerful but she just somehow didn't hold my attention. I really tried to pay attention.
Elliott Yamin - Somebody To Love - I don't know how the hell this dude keeps ending up in the bottom 3. He's quite good,dammit. I also just realized I have been jipping his name out of it's last "T". I think he needs to shave cuz it's just accenting the bad teeth that he can't help. He did the best out of all of them this week and ended up in the bottom. WTF!!!!
Tayler Hicks - Crazy Little Thing Called Love - I don't like him anymore. I haven't truely been that impressed with him or Ace since the semi finals. Yes this was a Taylor-y performance but ... eh
Paris Bennett - The Sow Must Go On - She sang very well actually but she looked fucking horrible, her and Kellie, she and Kellie, Kellie and she, whatever. A friend of mine said she looked too much like Raven for those of you who know who that is. I thought Tina Turner.
Oh well, next week is Rod Stewart's American Song theme. *eyerolls*

Brokeback Mountain Dew!!!!!

Hung out w/ Megan yesterday. We wanted to go bowling, but bowling didn't want us so we went to Borders, where as usual, I was a genius! We got a crazy idea to go wreck my house looking for a video and found one of them but not the one we really wanted. Then we got really daring and went to Blockbuster to get Brokeback Mountain. I was starving for no reason and popped into Subway to get chips and it never occurred to me that it was late. When the dude asked me if I was trying to make a purchase, I looked at him funny and showed him the chips. He said they were closed but let me have the chips for free. Must've thought I was either crazy or high. Both good assumptions.
Saw Brokeback Mt. Good movie. I actually didn't think we would be able to watch it at Meg's house because her sister seemed to have a minor heart attack when she saw it in my hand, but she ended up watching / sleeping through it with us. No problem. I liked it but there was one question I had about the ending. If you don't want a mini spoiler, don't finish reading. My question is - what is the motivation for the widow to tell the other guy that he died by the tire? Is that what she was told or a story she tells to make ppl feel better cuz she knows how he really died? I'm sure the book tells the details. Actually, its just a short story so maybe not. Who knows.

Not much to say. Worked briefly. Nana is being a pain in the ass as usual. I haven't heard from Megan in forever. You know what I wanna do? I wanna go to Six Flags. I think Kt, Me, Caroline, and Meg should go and Care and Meg can do the big kid rides while bff and I go on the carousel and hold their coats. It would be great :) Kind of a dumb plan to go 4 hours away just go to on the stupid tilt-a-whirl or something, but still awesome! new waterpark!!! yaaaaa!

been workin the past few days. yesterday b/c of the wind we lost power three times. i kept getting mad because every time the lights would go out, everyone would moan loudly. getoverit!!! i could still scan items so i was happily workin. the belts stopped though. annoying. the power only went out for about 3 seconds and came back on so...
i am minorly aggrivated with my schedule for next week. i work during idol both tuesday and weds. how purely evil is that. i think something is wrong with one of our cashiers. tonight i work 3-9 and then i open sunday and work 8 hours till 2!!!! ugga

I've finally figured out why I hate ace. I feel the same way about him that I do about Britney Spears. Alright to look at, but nasal, and not all that talented. Horrible shirt, horrible vocal, he needed a different key for that song, horrible.
4 - Taylor - Ray ? - Trouble
I was so excited when I saw his new haircut and nice jacket. He looks up to date again lol. Once again, the performance of the week is given by RYAN SEACREST for his comments to Simon 'If this is Clay Aiken, that is very Kelly Clarkson'. Just because Taylor's hair looks like he's 65, doesn't mean he has to dress like it. Boring song though, nice high notes I guess.
5 - Mandisa - Mary Mary - Wanna Praise You
Were I in church, that might have been nice, but this is American Idol, c'mon ppl. Who cares. I walked out of the room and did litterboxes during her song.

I didn't recognise the song till the end, which I actually thought was flat rather than Randy who said sharp. I'll only vote for him tonight I bet.

She looked pretty, but didn't sing all that well. Falsetto was a bad idea.

I think I'm developing a little crush on Bucky lol. I was still bored with him though.

Yeah, that was a bad move, she was styled very contemporary like Christina Milian or something and she didn't sing it very well, I preferred the Aloha M. version from 2 seasons ago or something and nobody really remembers that one either.
10 - Elliot - Gavin DeGraw - I Don't Wanna Be
Oh Elliot, you dork. I loved you, but now you look like Dustin Diamond with that goatee, shave it. Plus I think you messed up, and I know you didn't sing all the notes that make the refrain so important. I figured you would do it better than Bo, but I'm not sure, at least you dressed better than him, or did you?
