I DID IT!!! I FINALLY GOT MY SONY NETWORK WALKMAN!!!

I'm very happy. I dont' know why Kt says it is a pain. Probably cuz she not very patient. Some cds that you make yourself have to have their info put in manually and that can take a lot of time. However, if you have simply made a copy of a cd and put that on the walkman program thing, it should find the info just fine. Don't worry kt, just wait till I have to put in all my Idol files...I'll probably scream! Getting to buy this thing was a bit of a pain the butt! I went online to see what I wanted to get, decided on the color black, not blue *gasp!* Well I went to the Sony Style website and also looked to see if this thing was sold in stores. I found it at Sears.com for $20 less than the sony factory price and was massively excited. I ran to the sears electronics place close to where I work AND THEY HAD IT...for $349.99!!! That's outrageous!!! It's only 299 on sony's site, but I had to have it. I showed them online where is was supposed to be chaper, and they pointed out to me that it was a closeout item and the only way to get it would be online, while supplies last, ha ha ha. Well, I decided to make a little trek out to Southlake to see if they might have it. Nope, same information, go online, best of luck to you, go away. I call Dude and tell him and he's like, 'well sometimes it's better to spend more money to get the newest model' (oh yeah, failed to mention that the guy at the first sears near me was telling me that his was a newer model which is why they were charging more for it.) Yeah so I went home and pondered what to do. I wanted the walkman, but I wanted it in black and at a normal price. I got really antsy and said, screw it, I'm goin. I went back to the sears store closest to me and walked in very happily knowing what I wanted. Well there was someone working with a customer at that counter, and the thing was locked up. I decided to wait patiently, cuz what the hell else was I gonna do? The dude I saw before was not there anymore and now it was some old dude. Ugh, it was taking them forever!!! I had to keep thinking that when he finally waited on me that he would take just as much time and be equally as nice, so I was willing to continue to wait. Finally they made their purchase and he finished with them and walked them up to the front ( I think they bought a tv). After that, I didn't see the dude again. I saw a few other ppl, but I would have had to set myself on fire to get their attention, and then they probably would have just warmed their hands on me and walked away!!!! After hell froze over the guy returned. He was non helpful lol. I told him exactly waht I wanted, pointed right at it! He was like 'um, well, uh, er, um ok, lemme get the key, oh i don't have the key, wait here.' Now we had to play who has the keys and how long before I get to kill someone. I finally got him to get it. Guess what! It was on sale! Only $299! That's like the real price!!! Bloody hell!!!

the sky is purple. mainly because blue and pink equals purple. whatever. i have to work memorial day till 11p. why do i have to close all the damn time. i open on sundays and close regular days. wtf!

all i wanted for dinner was a cheeseburger. instead i was served a half piece of scrod, a double baked potato, and then my cheeseburger. now i'm being told i have to do the dishes???? *throws the silverware in the garbage, throws the frying pan at dude, knocking him out, flings the baking sheet at mom's throat, lopping her head off, and finally decides to let the rain wash what is rest by putting all the cups on the lawn* that's what i call doin' the dishes :)

idol was kinda boring. i wanted them both to win, but i didn't want either of them. i knew carrie would win, but i was thinking bo would. there wasn't really anything exciting about this finale. the beach boys medley was amazing though. the all star thing was groovy as well.

dammit! i don't wanna work 5-11 tonight! idol is down to carrie and bo and melissa is still "sick". I tried to get mom to call me off, but she wasn't interested. i'm glad i didn't do it myself, mom would have never shut up about it. katie is taping the end and going to make me audio clips of it lol. i'll attempt to put off taking my break till the last minute so i can hear them. if sunday was an indication the time should kinda fly tonight. i just don't wanna have to deal with self checkout. i did that for a few hours sunday and it was kinda crazy. now if you spend $50+ and use a credit card on self check, we have to see your id to make sure it matches your card. if it isn't signed, we need 2 forms. if the last names match, it's all good, if they dn't or you don't have id, then we make u sign for the purchase. it's to protect you from fraud....and to annoy the shit out of you...whatever. me go shower and die.

Well, I was going to say I was getting better, but the fever appears to be back. My throat is gonna blow up from how many times I have been coughing. My fucking cat doesn't have any sympathy for me either! I'm gonna kill that little jackass! He woke me at 4:48am! I had not taken him to bed and mom told me to leave the door open so he could come in when he wanted to. Well I did and I also cleared off my nightstand to leave my tsunami cup filled with ice water and ice cubes near me in case I woke up and needed a drink. Well I never really had to wake up untill my cat returned and decided he was either pissed that the cup was in his way and he couldn't walk across, or the idea i believe better is that he wanted a drink of water. SO HE DRANK OUT OF MY GLASS, TIPPED IT, AND I HEARD "PLUNK" AND "WOOSH" AND WAS PROMPTLY FLOODED OUT OF MY BED. 4:48 in th fucking morning when I didn't have to get up! Dude is correct - you really could wash away tourists with that damn thing. My sheets were soaked, mattress, pjs, pillow, whatever was inbetween on the floor! *doesn't even want to think about it*
at some point today jewel called me and i sounded like i was dying on the phone, cuz i was unable to speak, and they said instead of opening sunday morning i could close if i wanted, but i would loose an hour. hell i was happy to sleep in! Today would have been ideal for it to be a day when I would open considering I WAS UP AT 4:48AM!!!!! Fuckin' cat!

me sick. it sucks. 2 days ago i was outside and was nice and breezy so i chose not to wear a jacket and i was happy. my body is repaying me. i have a 99 degree fever. last night i swear it was 105 cuz i was freezing and burning and freezing and burning and coughing and dying. i went out with kt, meg, and caroline to bennigans cuz they have a new menu. i had the grilled meatloaf which was spicy, some strange onion ring things that were kinda kewl, GARLIC MASHED POTATOES!!! yum but tasted strange cuz i aws sick. and i also had a hurricane. megan was nice cuz she works ag burger king and she got kt and me star wars toys. i got an r2d2 and kt got 2 chewbaccas. meg got herself yoda and he's kewl cuz you wind him up and he does backflips. he's accurate 99% of the time. r2 is a squirt guy and chewy just fuzzes you to death. care didn't get anything.
yea so after benningans we were all going to play a little mario party 6 but somethig bad happenned with the game so we played board games. i was sick and dying and unhappy and didn't do well and made everyone mad lol. what else is new. i made everyone call it quits about 11:30 cuz i couldn't handle it anymore. I just wanted to go to bed and sleep. i was freezing so meg took me home and i put on winter pjs, shut off my fan, and curled up into a ball under my cold blankets. i immediately steamed up my beadspread. i was so hot under there, but i dind't care cuz i wasn't cold anymore. i was hoping to sweat it out. my boobs were the only sweaty thing though i think cuz i had my bra on.
today i got up and went to work with my 99 degree fever and just kinda felt wierd all day. at first i couldn't speak, sounded funny on the intercom. the voice grew stronger as the day went on but never fully better. no big things happenned. i left at 4 with no relief. i came home and mom and dude were all excited about going out for dinner. then they noticed how sick i looked lol. currently they are out with nana at cheers for dinner and i just made cheesey bread. probably a genious idea with a fever huh? ;) maybe i'll go eat and watch a movie. nap time!

Really swell huh? Lately I've been quite angry, what can I say? I have to work Tuesday during American Idol and the One Tree Hill 2 hour finale. It's gonna piss me off to no end.

I'm bored. Bored bored bored bored bored. I can't wait to go work out again. I spent 20 minutes on the bike before I got pissed cuz the seat wasn't made for small people. Then I went on the stair machine for 10 minutes. I was covered in sweat lol. It felt good :) I need to eat less salt and drink more water and it's all good :)

Well today is Sunday. A day of rest, most people believe. Not Jewel though. I am usually up at 5am to be opening at 6am. The alarm was set! I have been with Kt and Megz for about 2 days and so I'm a little sleepy BUT I SWEAR THE ALARM WAS SET. At 6:10 this morning I got a phone call. Freaked me out! It was Jewel! Why aren't you here! AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I got there by 6:25 all dressed and frazzled, probably not looking or smelling my best, or awake at all, BUT DAMMIT I GOT THERE!!! The whole day was a disaster. As punishment for being late, I had to go do candy tags. $&%@!!!! Everything was changing over today so some things were ringing up wrong and some things were buy one get one free but ug! Disaster was striking all around and I think Kenna was just angry in general with me. :(
After work I stopped by Woman's Workout World. I'm thinking about joining. I like the idea of belonging and working out and stuff but it's a 2 year contract you have to sign :( Why can't they just make u pay $100 and join for a few months or something. By the time you deal with the basic membership it's $401 and the premium is $601. I talked to a kewl girl name Mal. That's what the sweatjacket said lol. She was really nice. Oh well, maybe I'll do it, we'll see. If mom would ever pay off my damn credit card... >={

Dude better recover quickly and mom better fuck off cuz I'm pissed. Today I had to do everything! Go here, buy this, drop this off here, then go there, write a check for $50 over, pick this up, PAY YOUR FATHER'S SEATBELT TICKET AT THE HAMMOND COURTHOUSE! That was a complete disaster. Now I realize that court houses have to have security, and I know security is tight nowadays, but holy motherfuking shit! First off, there are 2 courts there. The huge one is federal court, and they don't let you in the building lol. "You're in the wrong building, baby girl. You don't want to be here." go here, turn, go here, turn, go here, parking lot lmnop. I go into the second building and some hot dude is like 'how you doin.' Suddenly, the security guard comes at me like I'm holding a bomb, and says 'MAM COME OVER THIS WAY PLEASE.' damn! I get my purse checked out, which was hysterical I bet considering that my purse is about as easy to maneuver around in as my bedroom, complete trashed! He takes me downstairs and seats me on a bench in the hall. That was the best part, he got nice and was like "one moment, i'll see if they pulled it so you don't have to go to court." yay. I sit on the bench quietly and 10 seconds goes by and some asshole jackass stupid ass ass ass ass lawyer dude ass comes by. He's like 100 times the size of me. His head was huge and pale and his eyes were huge and he bent down to look at me with his huge eyes like i was a fucking alien from another planet. Heck, I think Hammond itself is a whole other planet the way everyone acted. Anyway he looked at me with his huge ass eyes and said 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? " real loud like that. "I'm waiting for him for a traffic ticket." I felt like adding a few extra words to that thought, but held my tongue. I wasn't hurting anyone. Why the fuck are you bothering me? Pick on someone your own size! Asshole! At any rate, I did what I had to do and got out of there. Jesus! I was totally rattled cuz before I even dealt with this crap mom made me go to walgreens and jewel, and I locked my freakin keys in the car and had all the cellphones dead and i hate life!

After roughly 20 years of begging, he finally took me. Now why did it have to be on a fine Saturday morning when I didn't have to wake up. Trenyce taped a segment, but abc was unable to use it. maybe at aonther time. she seems to be on his side as well. wonder how many more ppl can accuse paula of something. it's kinda funny, simon should have been hit with some sort of lawsuit by now lol. ryan starr from season 1 had always claimed that simon offered his phone number to her and "if she ever needed anything..." yet, paula's the one in question. ug!

CARRIE ROCKED! Mariah Carey - The Emancipation of Mimi

Mariah Carey's new CD is 'da bomb! I love all songs except for #10 which I think is just stupid and lowers the image of her and this cd. I stopped really caring about Mariah when Daydream or whatever came out. Then I heard It's Like That and I went 'oooo' :) Now Mariah is back and it truly is "the return of the voice." However, I think she may have recorded these songs pretty much in order because the cd starts out strong and as it progresses, there is one song where she has laryngitis or something, I swear that's what I think it sounds like. My opinion only. Let the review and high praise begin.
1 - It's Like That - Awesome dance song, you've probably heard it or a strange remix of it on the radio. The lyrics are awesome! She's having a party and she's free to do as she pleases and doesn't have to worry about anything. Beautiful vocal riffs (melismas).
2 - We Belong Together - Great song, super vocals, another song that is getting great radio play. You can kinda imagine Mariah singing this. The gestures she'd make and all that lol. The last note she sings goes on forever! Radio doesn't do it justice lol.
3 - Shake It Off - Slower song that makes you rock back and forth. The vocal part "cuz the lovin ain't the same, and you keep on playin games" makes me think and point my finger as if the person in question did this wrong *tilts head and points finger to the right* and that wrong *tilts head and points in the other direction to the beat* It's kinda kewl. OOOOO some super high parts!
4 - Mine Again - Mariah sings this in pretty much full voice in the important parts. Nice, I think. Some ppl might say she's overdoing it. Super high note at the end, yay :)
5 - Say Somethin' - Yay! This has been getting some airplay on radio. It's Mariah and Snoop Dogg. Nice groovin' dance song. Oh kewl part right cues Snoop. Circular vocal part, it's kewl. I like this little rap or whatever it might be called. Mariah hitting high notes.
6 - Stay The Night - One of my faves on this CD. Sung in full voice, it's amazing. "Stay the NIIIIIIIIGHT......morning LIIIIIIIIGHT,"etc rocks! Very powerful. Oooo super high notes! Groovy rhythm. *dances happy* ooo ending is a little annoying, yet kewl.
7 - Get Your Number - Jermaine Dupri helps out for this song. Not a fan of his part, but she sounds great again. This song basically says, hey we're at this club, I'm hot, I'm rich, I'm interested, we'll have a little chat then go do somethin. La la la la la la la la la la lala lol. Yes, more high notes :) DAMN!
8 - One And Only - I am quickly getting addicted to this song. Very powerful when she says "I should have stayed AWWAAAAYYY". Twista is on this song. Rhythmically this is complicated and it's gonna take time to get all the words. Again, super high notes. Good song just to move to.
9 - Circles - The vocal pattern is circular :) I like the sound of the background singers. They show up again on "I Wish You Knew" and "Fly Like A Bird" as well. Yaya sing up high! Effortless changing into different registers.
10 - Your Girl - I HATE THIS STUPID SONG! Mainly cuz of the dumb message of the song. Also cuz of the way she sings it. You're not in highschool anymore, darlin'. However, I do like the way she made it sound like a chipmunk was singing with lol. This song makes me want to take a knife and stab her to the beat of the refrain. I'll even squeal at her while doing it.
11 - I Wish You Knew - This song is being performed live. Opens with the awesome gospel background singers again. This isn't one of my faves but I only hate one song and I just got through that one. "how I love ya baby" is the best part of the refrain lol. Otherwise I will probably listen to it without paying much attention. HOLY SHIT I think she just invented a new high note. Wow, she's a little all over the place there, in every octave, kinda annoying.
12 - To The Floor - This song is with Nelly. Mariah lets everyone know it's a Neptunes and Nelly song. God, I hate it when artists do that. This song is really ... jazzy? yet dancy. Bouncy. Bebop? That might be it. Dance and Bebop! Nice song. No high notes lol.
13 - Joy Ride - The laryngitis song lol. She sings it kinda soft and annoyingly, the way ppl don't like her. She stops halfway through and does it normally and in fuller voice so it sounds a bit better. It's a very relaxing song. A few high notes. Kinda puts me to sleep at the moment, but it is late. Wow, there's the high notes. This should have been called Circles instead of the other one. This is actually the song that is vocally more circular. Wow, nice last LLOOOOOOVVVVEEEEE.
14 - I can't decide what my absolute favorite song is yet, but this is definately top 2. Everything is amazing. The soothingness of the preacher, the nice sound overall. It's soft and even though she sings it in the annoying soft manner in the beginning, it's very pleasant. The refrain is just awesome and positive and vocally rocks! When she does it in full voice the 2nd time it's so incredible like being in church and makes you jump up and clap and shout praises. OOOO Now the great background ppl join in for the chorus! YAYAYAYAYA! This song is so great! Awww, it stops so sudden. I want to groove and praise forever. LONG LIVE THE VOICE lol.

Ok that's all I can say. Only one song to skip, the rest are all my fave for one reason or another.
OH AND MY FINAL WENT AWESOME!!!! NIGHT!

finals

ok time for finals. i've been too busy and crazy to write. spent friday and sat with katie. the bitch called me useless! kill her! i cleaned the toliet today so i wasn't useless and i studied for my philosophy final today.
remind me sometime to give u my review of the new mariah carey cd, the emancipation of mimi. i also need to register for next semester. oh and i turned in my new full availability at jewel, i'm sure i'll only get 13 hours instead of 12, but whatever. need to look into vacation too.
