oh holy crap!

wow so everything is kinda crazy...jewel is at some of the lowest customer satisfaction index scores i have ever seen in 8 years. it was 25 on sunday - down from about a 68 or so. it was very reflective in the way the service desk treated me. it took 2 hours to get some $5s lol. due to this insanity, i ran out of an entire $300 till of cash!!!! how the fuck does that happen???? on wed. i worked and the score was only up to a 33!



on top of that, crazy nutzness ensued on tuesday!!! dougable and i went to chicago to drink and party and have fun at Roscoe's and Hydrate. Well doug hastn' been feelin great so he took cold medicine, which neither of us thought about before we left. we arrived and we drank and drank like we usually would. for some reason doug got really really unusually smashed and couldn't get us home. it was semi frightening. thank God for devine intervention, or we'd surely be dead. instead, we only got a flat...no destroyed, tire. actually, it wasn't really even a tire by the time everything was all said and done. it was just a smoking scrap of metal with a few scraps of rubber where a tire had once been. :)

what a drag

last night doug and i went to langel's. nice crowd. very good kereoke for the first time in a while. while elaine and i were singing 'high on you' by survivor, the machine with the words messed up but luckily we are professionals and knew the words anyway :) doug was complaining that he wanted to go downtown and i said i wanted to a long time ago also, so we just randomly left at midnight and went to halsted lol. we went to roscoes and that was a blast. the woman with the kewl dress was really a man but doug and i couldn't tell till the lights were on full again. oh well. then we went to hydration or hydrate or something. i danced with a drag queen that time. note to self, beat doug ;)

Today I worked at Jewel and I almost got shortchanged. Some dude bought $4.11 worth of stuff and paid with $100 which isn't phenominally unsusual, but I took it and gave him his $95 and change back. Well he whips out this $5 bill and is just like 'oh did i give u a hundred? i meant to give you this five dollar bill." Well i had his change in my hand and i was just wanting to tell him to go fuck himself, take his change and be greatful that i was breaking his hundred. instead i just mentally freaked out and he was just being stupid and i was hell bent on giving him his $95. Fortunately, i had a girl bagging for me so i had witnesses. she even noticed that he gave me the $100. He was-a-fixin' to make off with $200 and free groceries but he screwed up and i figured something wasn't right and we were arguing, and much to my good fortune, i was in earshot of a manager. she took him up to the desk and fixed it all out. a few customers later i asked the bagger if she thought i was crazy and she saidthat i was fine considering that there was a hundred dollar bill involved, then she yelled at me for not looking closer at the bill. oh well.

I had the first book read in 5 days which is fast for me. The second book was not my fave at allllllllll. Book 3 picked things up again though. pink instead of blue

my life revolves around the color blue, but today i am here to tell you that i am the proud owner of a pink razor v3 phone :) i ordered a beautiful blue one, but when it arrived it was navy/damn near purple. bleh! i'm so nervous...they instantly deactivated my poor blue siemens phone lol. damn. i remember having to get rid of my first phone...i was heartbroken. then i got the little blue cute phone and was happy. at least this time i don't haveto change my phone number.

another bad brain day as usual :)

i was very tired this morning...i saw the harry potter movie the othr night....waste of time...we already knew someone was after harry...don't waste 2.5 hours trying to tell me that. that was the other night, last night i jsut didn't sleep well cuz i have been over caffinating cuz i'm fricken tired. so i twitched more than slept lol. this morning i woke up and was supposed to be at munster jewel at 10:30 after being there till 11p last night. this morning i woke up and never really fully woke up and instead of going to munster jewel, i was halfway to highland when i realized what the hell was going on lol. in the process ofturning around, i almost hit a pedestrian, backed into oncoming traffic, and finally, part of my car fell off...yes, fell off :) needless to say, by the time i arrived to jewel and the correct jewel, i was late and tired and didn't give a fuck.

at least when i came home i got some good news. i only owe half of what i thought i did for my student loan so i'll have an easy time paying that off plus i'll have lots of extra money :) yay!!!

It's personal

Well vacation went very well. It was the first time in roughly 10 years where I took a vacation that was an actual vacation. It never really occurred to me what vacation meant. Disney is not really a vacation when you think about it. There is just a constant schedule of "runnin',runnin', runnin' like a constipated weiner dog" but this time I went to KY with bff for a week and change. I was so happy...for the first 3 days and then I went stircrazy and got cranky lol. We layed out, got a great tan, read books, watched movies, played games, ate waaay too much, went into town and shopped, ate, and saw more movies. Her family joined us later in the week and then we went on the boat for 2 days and it was kinda fun.

Now it is all back to life and Jewel and people and schedules and clocks and birthdays and presents, and money and crap lol. I"m also dealing with something I don't fully understand and all I can keep thinking about is "It's personal, myself and I, we've got some straightening out to do." by Fergie

Vacation this year

Boo, no Florida trip this year. The universe is a cruel place. In one breath people were inviting themselves to go with me and I let them work my head and re-arrange the world for this, an then at the last minute everything falls apart and they can't go which screws us. Whatever. bff still loves me. She and I are headed down to Kentucky for the week. Should be very nice. We intend to do some drinking, sunbathing, boating, eating, nothing, everything, driving, hottubing, and many other things. I think we are leaving Monday morning and her family will join us Thursday or Friday and we will all stay till about Sunday night or something. Should be nice. A whole week without beng able to check my email for a week. I may not even take my stupid cell phone. If I do, I will probably just leave it off. They don't call it vacation for nothing.

So I thought Pirates 3 sucked. Well, it wasn't totally terrible, but it wasn't amazing like the first one either. PAULA COLE'S NEW ALBUM 'COURAGE' IS OUT!!! IT'S REALLY GREAT!!! I'm just excited to hear her voice again. The Maroon 5 album is also out and very good. It's just good to have new music to listen to. Don't know what else to say.

Ok I wanted contact with people so I made some phone calls yesterday and today. I spoke with Laura a lot and never heard from Doug, which explains why I probably heard so much from Laura, she couldn't get hold of Doug lmao! Anyway I called Meg and about 2 hours later I hear from her. Well that's fine and we start chatting. She's giving me an update on her family and being all serious and for once I'm actually listening and paying full attention. Suddenly, the home phone starts ringing right next to my other ear. That scares the crap and out Meg and I both cuz it was very very loud. It was a Florida call so I figured it was our time share confirming we got the letter yesterday and I ran down to give mom the phone, but she aready answered it on the downstars line so I was running up and down with a phone on either ear like an idiot, making Megan laugh, which isn't bad
I get back upstairs and now I"m on the cell, mom's on the house line, and the doorbell rings and it's the lawn company. Mom, who has throat cancer and barely has a voice, is yelling for Dude to answer the door so I call really loudly for him to help mom out, and that basically means I'm screaming in Megan's ear, which is still really funny. Dad answers the door as I arrive to do it and mom yells for me to grab her some paper to write down info from this Florida call on the house line. I run across the room to do that, but mom never thinks I hear her so I'm grabbing this paper in the next room, mom is on the phone yelling at me to do stuff, Dude is answerin the door and approving the lawn guy to work. I turn around with the notepad and all I see is mom throwing the house phone, the cat flying up the stairs. I'm trying to bring mom paper and now she's freaking out "screaming" and liquids are going everywhere because while all this nutzness was occuring, mom was tryin to get her nutrition in through her gravity feeding in her stomach, but when she turned around, the thing popped out of her stomach and liquid went everywhere! I"m giving Meg the update on this and she is just laughing hysterically and tellilng me how much she misses me lol. I throw the notepad in the air and run to get paper towels and I"m yelling to Dude to deal with this as he is coming up the stairs. Dude just sluggishly walks up to mom, and for a minute I swore he might just smack her upside the head. That would have been funny.
Dude cleans up mom and puts her back together and I'm like 'where the hell is the phone and is anyone left on the other line?' Nobody seems concerned about this, but inquiring Melissas want to know, so I pick up the line and tell the lady we are having a crisis and she needs to call back and she's just like "yeah I could tell, sorry to cause trouble, how's tomorrow afternoon?' I'm like 'yeah fine bye.'
Now, did I get my wish for wanting contact with people or what?
Good thing I had Dew today huh?

So Jewel in highland is no more. We will close May 5, Cinco de Mayo @ noon! Things are on sale up to 25% off but that ain't much. I worked till 11p last night and have to leave soon again for work at 9. I went to bed around 2 and then at 6:30 this morning received a call from Doug. He was stressed out and stranded in Munster. He had been to the club in Lake Station and went home with friends but left his car behind and lost his cell and was pissed and wanted a ride home. Good thing I love Dougable huh?

Alright, must get dressed. Not very awake yet. For those of you who I haven't been very nice to lately or have put you off, I"m sorry. I have only been able to focus on like 2 things anymore and the world has gone to hell because of it.

Man, this week kinda stinks. The whole Virginia Tech thingy, a soldier from Munster was killed in Iraq. His name was Shaun Blue and he was in Megan's grade. I had his sister, Amy, in my grade.
Jewel goes on sale today. The Highland Jewel is putting their grocery side on some sort of sale. I don't think it is quite like the osco side. I think it's only gonna be about 30% reduction.
Me go work soon to deal with utter lunacy.

three words - HANG-OH-VER!!!

omg! yesterday and today were semi-insane! yesterday was tuesday and that means doug and i usually go prospecting. well i have been a little cranky and yesterday i was mainly a bitch to poor dougable. i was cranky and miserable, generally rude and off kilter, complete with my own little raincloud over my head. sowwy dougable. thanks for putting up with me. at one place we were prospecting, i saw some awesome, huge-ass, rockstar-like sunglasses. i put them on and they cover most of my face. they were black and had 3 diamonds across the top. i'm like, "look doug! i'm a rock star!" he goes, "you look like a fly, take those off!" lmao :D

today, i cursed him for not letting me get those sunglasses

last night all i wanted to do was go out for a quick drink. "dougable, let's go to langel's for a long island, i'll be good after one, let's go, please?" "i woud love to but i have no money whatsoever" well, about an hour after our meeting with the company we work for, i keep buggin him about it. he says he has his credit card that he doesn't really wanna use but he could. then there is random irrational, spontaneous talk of just driving up to chicago at 11pm to do all the gay bars lol. crazy boy is talkin out both sides of his mouth, i have no money, let's charge everything at the gay bars. whatever lol. we remember that we have no physical cash between us so chicago is out cuz we can't make cover charges or tolls or anything.
doug does come up with an idea for a gay bar in calumet city called dickiesrucrazee or something. he know's phil is the bartender there. fine with me just let me have my damn drink. phil makes it really well cuz i can't taste any liquor, just lemon stuff lol. i start to happily sip at my tea and good music is playing and doug asks me to play pool with him. i can't win sober, drunk, or upside down, so i'm like "yeah". we play, i drink more, i lose. i end up really going to town on the drink and finished it off quickly. doug's response - "what are you getting next?" "WHAT?!?!?" I have this card that says the second drink is free, what do you want? rum and coke?" "sure dougable"

as we drink, phil sends over baskets of popcorn, which is brilliant, cuz i haven't eaten much, some, but not much and nothing of much substance. i swear you need a building permit to have good popcorn cuz no matter what i buy from the store, movie theaters, bars, and target still have better popcorn than i do lol. at any rate, the popcorn is flowing, the music is swimming, the booze is poppin', the room is blaring, and melissa has surpassed tingly and has moved on to WEEE!!! I used the potty and the whole walking thing was still doing well enough and i was drunk. Ya know how i know? I was singing. Yup, when you ar out with melissa and she sings, CUT HER OFF WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!! :) so yeah, i am gettin loud and doug is very mischieveious right now and he's throwing popcorn down my shirt which causes me to squeal like a damn sonic boom! Well that sure as shit got the attention of a patron at the other fucking end ofthe bar. Guess what, he buys us a 3RD ROUND OF DRINKS!!! ohmyfuckinggod :) One more rum and coke is placed in front of my face while i haven't really finished the second drink. I decided, fuck this straw thing and just chug the last of the rum and coke i'm currently working with. Doug starts another pool game with me and i'm barely standin on my own two feet at this point.
the nice man who sent us drinks was tony and he helped me win the game/played it for me lol. i get back to the bar, work at my last rum and coke, screw around with doug throwing popcorn, something crazee happens and i knock over my glass and spill a mostly full rum and coke. phil was totally awesome about it, cuz he's used to this i would imagane. here's the thing...as it knocked over, the glass cracked and broke in a few places. i don't remember it very clearly. i was still determined to drink out of it and i remember very fuzzily that doug and phil both had to tell me several times to stop reaching for it lol. i was reduced to drinking water and eating popcorn :( we were so drunk andi was such a mess lol. poor phil had to kick us out at 2 and melissa was not walking very well in heels to begin with, now add 29 quarts of liquor and well....

doug drove us from the bar back to the office where my car was. i drove home from the office, which was intereting. i must have been very glassey eyed cuz everything looked liquidy lol. don't really remember much else. i know i was trying to be quiet when comin in the door at 3 but i'm sure there was a marching band and an elephant that came in with me :)

this morning, i felt fine till i opened my eyes and the light hit and i stood up and almost collapsed and hurled. i was supposed to be prospecting this morning with laura AND DAMMIT I DID!!! I was a little late and really out of it, and you know I made her stop at Kohls so I could waste an hour finding rockstar shades, but i did it complete with my hangover :)

Holy shit, my Aunt Helen is dead. She's actually my great aunt, but I don't care. I'm in complete denial. It's not possible. She is such a lady. My favorite Aunt. We all pretty much knew it was coming so we aren't quite beside ourselves with grief, but I'm not saying we aren't sad. I can't even really write this right now. I"m gonna barf. I can't believe what I"m writing. This was shaping up to be a great week at first, then I literally came home, walked through the front door and dad greets me with,

Idol Bowl

I know someone out there is waiting for my Idol analysis...in a minute, in a minute. First off I need to brag :)

I work for Jewel and last night we bowled for the Boys and Girls Club. On the 10th frame of my first game I got 3 STRIKES!!! I went from a 90 to a 140 :) My other two games final scores were 83 a piece. Oh well. People were talking about me all over the store today :) Hell yeah, what's my name BITCH! ;)

So ok onto the Idol crap lol.

I had him in 8th place after his audition and then he got a Free Ride up to 5th place ;) SUNDANCE'S TIME IS ABOUT UP!!! I wanted him gone this week. He didn't even do well in Hollywood! I was also stunned about Paul Kim. He went from 12th to 7th place for me. OH well.

Ahh, February...

Yes, it's February again. The month of love :) Who am I kidding, nobody loves Melissa lol. Well, apparently some people do because I am being asked to do training again tomorrow night :) Perhaps I'll be taking it over perminantly. That would be kinda kewl! Last week I got up in front of everybody and was totally shaking, but then I calmed down! I'm more prepared this week. Still not totally sure what I want to wear, but I'm between 2 things.

So excited!!!

I get to do training tonight!!! I will be teaching ppl how to do presentation training!!!! See, u have to give the presentation to Valerie in order to be a field trainer and to be able to do training. Well tonight is a crazy night and all the field trainers will be doing other things so since I have been there a while and am very exciting and adorable, Dougable nominated me for training :D

The beginning of 07!

Well so far 2007 sucks. That's not quite true. It's been alright. For instance on Wed. I had some time in the office. Thursday I got the raffle prize at Jewel for December. However, Thrusday night that stupid thing cursed my car. I took it to bff's house because it is a big snowman wearing a 7up sweater. I got there at 9p and at 10:30 got a call from Dude going, "there was this guy that just called saying he had your backpack" I'm like 'no way, it's in my car' so I call this guy and apparently my car has been broken into, not hard considering while grabbing my snowman, I didn't bother to relock the doors. Whoever did it, they were after money. they got my backpack and purse, but dumped my backpack, and kept the good stuff in the purse, my pens, gum, about $6 and my credit card. I got my backpack back but I think I"m more pissed off about missing pens and giftcards rather than my credit card lol. That was easy to cancel :)

Sup? I've been sick. Nana got me sick cuz she had lost her voice and stuff and then I came down with it. Stupid woman. I've been a little better. Major coughing though. Took meds, yuck. Ate turtles, yum :) I have also received light. Ever heard of that? I believe it is a Bhuddist thing. Paul does it for me from time to time, but then I went to the Center with Joe and Doug. I got a full hour treatment of my full body with light. It was so wierd for me cuz I was getting light to my forehead and I felt all tilty and like I was going to fall out of the chair. I just lost my whole center of gravity lol. Oh well. Have a good day!
